Dentispray 50 mg/ml dental solution is a non-prescription medicine. Therapeutic indications: Symptomatic relief of toothache and gum pain in adults and children over 2 years of age until appropriate dental care can be obtained. Special precautions: Drinking, chewing food or chewing gum is not advised while the numbness persists, due to the risk of choking or biting the tongue or the oral mucosa. This medicine should not be applied more than 4 times per day, regardless of the situation. The use of this medicine may increase the risk of complications in people with asthma, bronchitis or emphysema. Contact your doctor if you experience headache, dizziness, shallow breathing, nausea, fatigue or tachycardia (signs and symptoms of methemoglobinemia). Interactions: Do not administer concomitantly with: Sulphonamides (benzocaine antagonises the antibacterial effect of sulphonamides) and hyaluronidase (hyaluronidase increases the incidence of systemic reactions to benzocaine).
